Our Fast Formatting service transforms your manuscript into a fabulous print-ready book in a matter of days.
Your typeset book will have a crisp and stylish look and be presented so your readers can concentrate on the most important aspect of your book: your words, your story, your message.
Our Fast Formatting service is pre-designed not automated, to give you a dedicated experience alongside express speed.
- You send us your text and completed questionnaire.
- We’ll get in touch to clarify any points with you and arrange a mutually convenient time to schedule your book for completion.
- Your text is manually processed with precision, using the design you select. As we format your book, we carefully look through every page to ensure the final flow of the text is meticulously neat and tidy.
- Once our attentive work is complete, you will receive an electronic PDF of your book to proofread. You can make one round of amendments to this proof free of charge.
- Once your review is complete and we’ve implemented any changes you’ve requested, you will receive a perfectly produced, print-ready PDF.
The exact time frame of the project will depend on your availability, the length of your book, your availability to proofread the electronic PDF and our current schedule. The entire process can be completed in as little as two days.
Carefully crafted to provide a balance between interest and readability, our designs have been built using over a decade of typesetting knowledge and experience.
The designs come in a choice of three page sizes, which are used by most printers and print-on-demand services. You can select from:
- 6x9inch/153x228mm (often known as Octavo)
- 5x8inch/127x203mm (often known as B-format US)
- 129x198mm/5x7.8inch (often known as B-format UK)
The designs provide a range of elements to suit most fiction and non-fiction books, including:
- Title page
- Copyright (imprint) page
- Dedication page
- Division into Parts
- Division into Chapters
- Two types of emphasis for individual words, such as italic and bold
- Page numbering
- Margins set appropriately for the length of book

- A repeating image or icon on all Part and Chapter pages
- Opening paragraphs of chapters with specialised formatting
- A running header for all non-chapter pages with your book’s title on one side and the author’s name on the other
- A graphical page divider (dinkus)
- Bulleted and numbered lists (one level only)
- An alternative style for paragraphs which need to stand out (such as quotes or letters)
- Up to six images, illustrations or photographs placed anywhere in the book
